ACTIVITIES

Playgroups

Playgroups offer our children the opportunity to socialize with others not only by playing with other kids, but by watching the way we moms interact with each other. Playgroups generally meet once a week. Members meet in each other's homes or parks. Some may actually plan activities for the kids while others may want to just get together and let the children have free play. It's all up to each playgroup to decide how they'd like to approach their playtime. We offer playgroups grouped by the children's age. Age range for each group initially is within one year. That may change as siblings are added to the group. The Playgroup Coordinator is a volunteer for the club who keeps track of which members belong to what group and makes sure that all members are placed in a playgroup that is comfortable for them.

Special Events

We have activity coordinators who organize special events for moms and their children to enjoy together. During the summer we may have a pool day at the local community pool or a miniature golf event. We may also have other events such as pizza making or cookie baking at a members home. Monthly Meeting Social

The Club meets once a month to discuss and/or vote on club related issues. Kids are always welcome to attend meetings. We try to have creative activities or toys for the children to play with during the meeting. This is an excellent opportunity each month to touch base with members that you may not usually run into. Plus, the most important aspect of our club is having the members provide their input into how the club is run.

Moms Night Out

Mothers need to get out too. Once a month, Moms meet for a night out on the town. Our outings may be a movie night, dinner at a local restaurant, or just a get together at another mom's house for games and laughter. MOMS nights out include anything members desire for a night of fun and relaxation!

Book Club

Read some wonderful books and get together with other members to discuss your feelings, criticisms, and interpretations of the books scheduled.(photo courtesy of freedigitalphotos.net)
